Guys! It’s has been toooooo lonnnggg! So has much has gone on over the last two years and I have seriously missed it here. As I sit here writing I am laughing to myself because the last time I titled this blog post, it was during the Spring of 2018. I have literally sat on about 16+ blog post drafts because life literally took a completely different turn. To be honest, with all of my hairstyles changes I’m just hoping that you guys still recognize me! How are you? Much has changed and I am so excited to not only get these children Back-To-School but I am excited to get Back-To-Blogging and sharing with you guys.

Life as we all knew it has been completely changed since 2018. We have been in Quarantine for pretty much most of the year due to the Corona Virus (COVID-19) outbreak. We are now required to wear mask and social-distance ourselves everywhere we go. A lot of us are Newly Working From Home and now doing back-to-school virtually. What a year its has been! Let us all pause here to just take a deep breath.

This year has put so much uncertainty in just everyday life that I have become less motivated, uninspired and completely bored out of my mind. So I figured to gain some of that inspiration and motivation back I would begin writing. During these last couple of years it has honestly been a struggle to juggle it all. I returned back to work full-time, my kids grew in all sorts of way and were busy with theater. Life was non-stop, you know.. so the blog basically took a backseat. Meanwhile, I sat on tons of content unable to put the words with them in what I deemed ‘a timely manner’. But, it’s so good I just have to share it with you. Most of the pieces that you’ll see in the upcoming post I still own, still wear and are still classic pieces to inspire you to shop your closet or thrift your own treasures. So here we are, and I am so happy that we are back!

Now, let’s get into this look. These colors make me smile even today and I hope it does the same for you. Such punchy, juicy hues.

When I first laid eyes on this trench style wool coat, I had to have it. I remember being on the phone with my husband and telling him how beautiful it was and how even though at the time it was Spring, I had to have it. I believe in purchasing quality, staple pieces such as these and the price was just right! It became the focal point of this shoots entire series. As you can this coat is everything without anything else,. It’s a statement on its own. Today I am still in awe at this piece as I was the very first day that I purchased it, and I encourage you to feel that way about the pieces in your closet. If you aren’t excited about wearing your clothes then you probably need to get rid of them. This is why I advocate around your closet consisting of classic, timeless and fun pieces. This coat could generally retails for at least $400 and I got it on sale at my local J.Crew outlet for $80. I WON!!

Piggy-backing off of the fuchsia/magenta hue of the coal, I spotted this floral printed babydoll dress at my local Goodwill of course. I purchased it during a 50% sale which by the way since Covid-19, the sale is no longer happening to eliminate the huge crowds. Nonetheless, I got it for $3. The shoes came from Charlotte Russe which is no longer a brick and mortar but they were on sale and I believe I got this pair and two other pairs for $20/piece. The watch was gifted to me by popular watch company JORD and is still just as beautiful then as it was when I shot their campaign on the previous blog post.

If I have learned anything during 2020 while in a pandemic, it is, ‘keep it simple, keep it classic, and get back to blogging’! See you guys on the next post soon.
