good·will

  1. friendly, helpful, or cooperative feelings or attitude.

I have always discovered delight making things easier for someone to do something by offering my services and talents. Even as child, I remember gathering my cousins, and the neighborhood children during the summer months on a daily basis. I would plan activities for them to do. These various activities would consist of coordinated bike ride excursions. Walks around the neighborhood, and outings that involved taking a packed meal that I would actually plan and pack up to be eaten at the park. Trips to the local library or swimming pool, all types of creative kid stuff!

To this day one of my sisters and some of my close friends make the joke that, although I have technically been a Mother for almost nine official years... I have been Mothering for almost twenty-one years. You do the math! We would have so much fun and the children would be so happy, and now that I think about we were all so young and they were surprisingly very cooperative...unlike some children you see today. Looking at the scope of this summer camp I hosted, I was doing an act of service to not only the children but the parents of those children and never expected a return for my services.

Sometimes it's about getting back to the basics. Just like you read the definition to the word goodwill above, we MUST as a human race be to genuine, be more friendly, more helpful, and have a more cooperative feelings and attitudes about lending our services and talents to those in need. Have some goodwill, the reward is so much greater when you..."Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”, Luke 6:38 ESV.

The featured item for this look is this breathtaking handmade floral print skirt. With floral prints being one of the staples for Spring Fashion, I could not help but to showcase this wonderful piece. Can you believe that somebody gave up this treasure? Somebody's grandmother definitely threw it back to the the basics by using her sewing techniques to pour creativity into this vintage find from my favorite place, Goodwill. Just look at that stitching, so original! I went with a monochromatic theme, pairing the skirt with a matching handbag and bracelet. I wore a basic white button down shirt, and to give this look some edge, I paired it with my favorite go to sandals, cool shades and gold accessories. To polish this look, of course I went with my favorite Spring time lip and nail combo...and in the month of April a rain jacket was necessary. See more outfit details below.
